Vivo has slashed the prices of its budget offerings the Vivo Y81 and Vivo Y71i in India. Both the smartphones have received a cut of Rs 1,000 from their actual retail price. With that, the Vivo Y81 will cost Rs 10,990 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs 12,490 for the 4GB RAM model, down from Rs 11,990 and Rs 13,490 respectively. Similarly, the Vivo Y71i will now set you back Rs 7,990 instead of Rs 8,990. The price cut was first spotted by Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom and is now reflecting across all leading online stores including Amazon, Flipkart, and Vivo’s own e-store.
Vivo Y81, Vivo Y71i specifications
To recall on the specifications of the Vivo Y81, the handset sports a 6.22-inch IPS display with a resolution of HD+ (720 x 1,520p) and aspect ratio of 19:9. The handset is driven by an octa-core MediaTek MT6762 SoC and boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.0. The phonemaker ships the device with two RAM options: 3GB and 4GB, and 32GB of storage – expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. For photography, the Y81 gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel selfie camera with the same f/2.2 aperture. A 3,260mAh battery fuels the handset.
The Vivo Y71i, on the other hand, has slightly downgraded specs. The handset flaunts an 18:9 aspect ratio 5.99-inch display with HD+ resolution. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable ROM is ticking at its core. In optics, the device bears an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear and a 5-megapixel sensor up front for selfies. The Y71i boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.0 and houses a 3,360mAh battery under the hood.
