Vivo Y90 will be an entry-level offering as we reported earlier. Now, we have obtained the complete Vivo Y90 specifications from our sources in the retail chain in India. Going by the specifications, it seems the smartphone will be targeted towards the budget segment and likely will be priced in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment. The Redmi 7A will be amongst its competitors that’s retailing in India starting at Rs 5,799. Another device that the Vivo Y90 will be going against will be the Realme C2, which is available in the country at the starting price of Rs 5,999. Just like these phones from Xiaomi and Realme, the new Vivo offering will also be a single camera-toting offering.
Vivo Y90 specifications
As you can see in the image above, the Vivo Y90 will feature a 6.22-inch Halo FullView display of unknown resolution, possibly HD+. The phone will be powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor. The handset will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which could be further expandable by inserting a microSD card. There will also be another variant of the device with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which isn’t mentioned in the spec sheet.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y90 will offer an 8-megapixel primary camera at the rear with an LED flash unit, which are placed on the top-left corner at the rear. For selfies and video calling, the handset will offer a 5-megapixel snapper. Software-wise, the device will boot Funtouch OS 4.5 that’s based on Android 8.1 Oreo. A 4,030mAh battery will keep complete the list of the specifications. Lastly, the phone’s dimensions will be 155.11mm x 75.09mm x 8.28mm.
Vivo Y90 price in India
According to our sources, the Vivo Y90 price in India for the base variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage will be Rs 6,990. The handset is expected to go on sale in the country very soon.
