Vivo has announced a price cut on its affordable Y93 smartphone that was launched earlier this year. The handset’s price has further been axed by Rs 1,000 across its configurations, following the cut back in March. The Vivo Y93 price in India now starts at Rs 10,990 instead of Rs 11,990 for the base 3GB RAM + 64GB storage option. The 4GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, on the other hand, is available for Rs 11,990 down from its previous MOP of Rs 12,990.
The new prices are applicable starting from today via both offline and online retail stores – including Amazon – across the country. Interested buyers can purchase the Vivo Y93 between Starry Black and Nebula Purple colour options

To jog down your memory, the Vivo Y93 packs a 6.22-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution, a ‘Halo’ notch up top, and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.6 percent. The handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.5 out of the box and employs MediaTek’s Helio P22 chipset under the hood. The phone rocks a 13-megapixel f/2.2 + 2-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear, while the front panel features an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. A 4,030mAh battery fuels the handset whereas a fingerprint scanner at the back panel takes care of security. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB, USB OTG, and GPS.
In related news, Vivo is also gearing up for new Z1 pro smartphone launch in India. The handset will be online-exclusive and is likely to be a rebranded version of the Vivo Z5x smartphone that was launched in China. The handset is the first from the brand to feature punch-hole display and Snapdragon 710 SoC ticking at its core.
