“The Vivo Y93s is a revamped version of the Y93, with many similarities in design and specs”
Vivo has launched the upgraded version of its Y93 smartphone, called the Y93s. The revamped smartphone has been equipped with a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, in place of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 which fuelled the Vivo Y93. Furthermore, the company has increased the built-in storage in the Vivo Y93s to 128GB, exactly double from what the Y93 had.
Apart from these upgrades, other specs of the Vivo Y93s and the Vivo Y93 remain the same, with the same 6.2-inch display with a teardrop notch up top. The Y93s, similar to the Y93 features a dual rear camera setup of 13MP + 2MP, along with an 8MP front camera. A 4,030mAh battery powers the Vivo Y93s, same as the Vivo Y93.
The Helio P22 processor integrated in the Vivo Y93, isn’t that far ahead of the Snapdragon 439, which fuels the Y93. Both consist of eight Cortex-A53 cores, which can run up to 2.0GHz and both are built on a 12nm process. Talking about storage, while the Y93s offers 128GB of internal storage as compared to the 64GB in the Y93, both smartphones come with 4GB of RAM.
The Vivo Y93s is available for CNY 1,698 (~Rs 17,676), more than the retail price of the Vivo Y93, which is CNY 1,500 (~Rs 15,613). The Vivo Y93s is available in two colour variants- Zixia Red and Aurora Red.
