“Vivo has officially confirmed that the Z1 Pro will be India’s first smartphone to come with the Snapdragon 712 processor”
Vivo is gearing up to launch the Z1 Pro mid-range smartphone in India to take on the likes of the Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) and Realme 3 Pro (review). 91mobiles had exclusively revealed a couple of live images of the upcoming first Z series handset, showing its design in its full glory. The landing page of the handset on the company’s website has also revealed triple cameras on the back, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a gradient finish. Now, the listing is updated with more details confirming that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 mobile platform, a 32MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Furthermore, even though it’s being reported the Vivo Z1 Pro could be the rebranded Vivo Z5X that was launched in China recently, it might not be the case given how the specifications differ. While the rear camera details of the Z1 Pro are kept under the wraps, the Z5x features a 16MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle snapper with f/2.2 and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. A 32MP snapper will be residing inside the punch-hole on the Z1 Pro, in comparison to 16MP selfie shooter on the Z5x. The Vivo Z1 Pro is likely to run on Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch OS 9.0 custom on top.
However, the rest of the specifications, including the display size, storage configurations and pricing details, are unknown at the moment. Since the ‘notify me’ is already live on Vivo’s website, one should hope the launch might be just around the corner. The phone will be available to buy via Flipkart.
