[Exclusive] Vivo Z1x 8GB RAM price in India is Rs 21,990

[Update]: The Vivo Z1x 8GB RAM variant has been launched in India. It retails at Rs 21,990 and comes in Fusion Blue and Phantom Purple colour options. The phone is available starting today across all retail stores in the country starting today. As part of the festive offers, customers can purchase the new Vivo Z1x 8GB at a cashback of 5 percent with HDFC and ICICI bank and 10 percent HDB cashback. The offers will be applicable until October 31st. 

A couple of days ago, we reported that Vivo is readying an 8GB RAM variant of its Vivo Z1x (review) smartphone to launch in the offline market. The vendor is expected to launch the variant in India soon; however, ahead of the launch, 91mobiles has learnt the India price of the upcoming Vivo Z1x variant from retail sources. The Vivo Z1x price in India for the 8GB RAM variant will be Rs 21,990. This is slightly higher than the 6GB RAM option, which is retailing in the country at Rs 16,990 and Rs 18,990 for the 64GB and 128GB variants, respectively. Furthermore, unlike the 6GB RAM option, the 8GB RAM variant will likely come with only 128GB storage onboard. Another difference between the two variants will be that while the original model supported microSD cards, the upcoming variant will not support storage expansion.

Vivo Z1x specifications

The core specs of the Vivo Z1x 8GB RAM should remain same. The phone will ship with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, Halo notch, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Z1x is powered by Snapdragon 712 octa-core chipset. As mentioned above, the handset will have no expandable storage option and run Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9 out of the box.

On the camera front, the Vivo Z1x sports triple camera setup at the back with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an 8-megapixel AI ultra-wide-angle lens and 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit for portrait shots. The front camera gets a 32-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies and video calling. The entire setup is driven by a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity options, the Vivo Z1x features dual-SIM slots, 4GB LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
