“The Z3i is rumoured to be the new mid-range offering from Vivo”
Lately, Vivo’s focus has largely been on mid-range smartphones. The Chinese phonemaker’s latest offerings have been the Vivo V11 Pro (review), V11, and the V9 Pro (first impression). Now, the company is prepping to announce another smartphone to that category shortly. The handset is allegedly dubbed as the Vivo Z3i, and it was recently spotted in an unboxing video and on a retailer’s website in China.
Starting with the unboxing, the Z3i seems to come with a Halo full view display, similar to the Vivo V11 Pro. The rear panel of the handset is tipped to feature glass coating, dual cameras — vertically at the top-right corner — and a fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the device is likely to come bundled with contents like a TPU case, power adapter, a charging cable, and warranty card.
Coming to the specifications, the Vivo Z3i is reported to feature a 6.3-inch display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The handset will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio P60 SoC, mated with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage. In optics, the successor to the Z1i is expected to flaunt a 16-megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor and LED flash. For selfies, the phone employs 24-megapixel shooter on the front.
The Z3i packs a 3,315mAh battery with fast charging support. The software hasn’t been revealed, but the phone is likely to run Android Oreo-based FunTouch OS out of the box. The device is reported to be available in two shades: Aurora Blue and Millenium Powder. The Vivo Z3i is said to retail for RMB 2,298 (~ Rs 25,000).
