Vodafone Idea launches Rs 649 plan with up to 200GB data, iPhone Forever scheme and more

“Vodafone Idea’s Rs 649 plan offers 90GB monthly 2G/3G/4G data, a data rollover option for up to 200GB along with iPhone Forever scheme that lets users get their iPhone replaced or repaired with a service charge of just Rs 2,000.”

Over the past few months, Vodafone Idea is in the phase of making their joint firm to be called as one of the best service providers in India. Working together, it has launched new plans and introduced some revisions to some of its old plans to make its offers more attractive. Now, it has decided to introduce a new scheme called iPhone Forever for its postpaid customers. However, this time it is not applicable to the mass market as the previous plans.

The iPhone Forever program is priced at Rs 649 per month and it includes unlimited local and national calling without any FUP. The plan also covers unlimited national roaming. Speaking about the data benefits, the plan gives 90GB monthly 2G/3G/4G data, along with a data rollover option for up to 200GB.
Vodafone Idea mergerVodafone has also added a complimentary subscription to Vodafone Play for 12 months, which allows users to watch live TV and movies for free. Users also get Amazon Prime Subscription for one-year where they can access to content on Amazon Prime Video along with two days free-deliveries.

The aforementioned iPhone Forever scheme is the part of the Rs 649 postpaid plan, which will let users get their iPhone replaced or repaired for a service charge of just Rs 2,000 plus GST. If a user accidentally drops the iPhone, replacing the display, back panel, repairing the camera or power button would cost more than Rs 15,000. Vodafone Idea has introduced the scheme to cover the hefty expense at a minimum cost and it has also informed that all the models above the iPhone 5S, which were purchased from an authorised dealer in India, are eligible for the scheme.

Users can also replace the existing iPhone for a new model by participating in the iPhone Forever scheme. Smartphones over 18 months only can be repaired and upgraded, while under 18 months, they are eligible for replacement along with repair and upgradation. Users can also have a pick-up and drop facility if they decide to choose the program.
