“The Rs 129 Vodafone recharge also offers unlimited calls and 100 SMSes daily”
Vodafone has quietly revised its Rs 129 prepaid plan to offer more data. Earlier, the Vodafone pack used to provide 1.5GB of data with a validity of 28 days. Now, the same tariff gives you 500MB of extra data, taking the total benefit to 2GB. The data can be used on 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. Apart from the 2GB of data, the Rs 129 Vodafone recharge provides unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls for 28 days. You get 100 SMSes as well as free live TV, movies, and more though Vodafone Play application. This tariff is available in all telecom circles in which the company operates.
Notably, the revised Rs 129 Vodafone recharge competes against a similar Airtel tariff that also costs Rs 129. Just like Vodafone’s recharge, Airtel also offers 2GB of data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMSes per day for 28 days. The same pack also provides access to AirtelTV and Wynk Music.
In related news, Vodafone launched a new Rs 299 prepaid tariff last month. The new plan comes with a validity of 70 days. It provides 3GB of high-speed data for the same period. You also get bundled text messages and unlimited local and STD calls as well as free roaming. It’s worth mentioning that the 3GB of data is available for the entirety of the pack instead of every day. This tariff sits below the brand’s Rs 399 prepaid pack, which offers 1GB of data per day, 100 SMSes per day, and unlimited calls for a period of 84 days.
