“Vodafone Rs 139 prepaid plan offers 5GB of 4G data. Post FUP, users can continue browsing at high-speeds at 50p/MB”
In a move to tackle Jio’s exponential growth, Vodafone India has introduced a new Rs 139 prepaid plan to its customers. Under the offer, users get unlimited local and national voice calling to any network, 100 messages per day and data benefits with a validity of 28 days. According to Telecom Talk, the latest tariff is an open market plan, but currently, it seems to be available to a few users in select circles.
The Vodafone Rs 139 prepaid recharge pack offers users 5GB of 4G / 3G / 2G data. Post FUP, users can continue browsing at high-speeds by paying 50p/MB which is odd, considering Vodafone already has Rs 169 prepaid plan which comes with 1GB data per day for 28 days. The telecom operator has recently introduced a Rs 16 prepaid plan that offers 1GB data for 24 hours but doesn’t include voice benefits.
Vodafone has recently announced a new SuperNET offer, wherein subscribers who upgrade to Vodafone 4G get 4GB of high-speed mobile data for free. The additional data will be credited to their account. Customers will also have access to Vodafone Play app, which comes with a host of streaming content. Upon upgrading to 4G, prepaid and postpaid customers between the age of 18 and 24 can avail a 50 percent discount on Amazon Prime yearly subscription service. To recall, Vodafone and Idea Cellular merged last year in a bid to stave off competition from Jio and the joint entity has emerged as the largest operator in terms of revenues and subscriber base.
