reasons to buy

Simple, elegant design

The matte finish plastic back on the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G helps prevent fingerprints and smudges. Thanks to the curved edges and only 180 grams weight, the device feels comfortable to hold. Also, there are three camera rings aligned vertically at the top left corner which resemble flagship Galaxy smartphones.

Good display

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ sAMOLED Plus display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and performs well both indoors and outdoors. It outputs vibrant colours from any angle.

Respectable cameras

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features 50MP+8MP+2MP triple rear cameras and a 50MP front camera. The rear camera captures images with sufficient details, good exposure and pleasing colours. The front camera also captures a good amount of facial details. While the colours are on the warmer side, the overall image appears true to reality.

Decent battery life

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. In the PC Mark Battery test, it scores 12 hours 58 mins. And, in the 30-min video streaming test, the battery only dropped by 5%. According to these results, you can expect the battery to last an entire day on a full charge.

reasons not to buy

Performance could have been better

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The benchmark scores are decent and we didn't encounter any issues in real-world usage either. However, it isn't the snappiest phone in the segment. There are other devices like the POCO X6 Pro that offer way better performance.

No Charger in the box

While the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G supports 45W fast charging, the power adaptor isn't provided in the box. And, buying the official charger separately will cost you Rs 3,000. This increases the price of the device if you don't already own a compatible charger.
