Moto G73 Review in 10 Points

design

The Moto G73 features an all plastic design. However, the body is solid and there's no creaking or squeaking even when pressure is applied. It is comfortable to hold due to the chamfered edges and 181g weight. Also, the IP52 rating provides some basic splash damage.

Display

The 6.5-inch display on the Moto G73 has FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. But bear in mind that it is an LCD panel. The viewing angles are decent and so is the outdoor visibility. However, it is not the best display for media consumption.

Rear Camera

At the rear, the Moto G73 has a dual camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and 8MP ultrawide sensor. The images are detailed in daylight and have good dynamic range and exposure. In lowlight there is a slight delay in focus and the capture time.

Front Camera

The selfie camera on the Moto G73 is a 16MP sensor. It captures likeable images with plenty of details and maintains accurate colours in well lit conditions.

Performance

The Moto G73 rocks a MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. You can expect to multi-task with ease and even play GPU intensive games on medium settings. However the device will slow down and heat in an hour or so of heavy usage.

Software

Moto G73 runs on Motorola's MyUX based on Android 13 out of the box. It is very close to stock android with a few proprietary apps and also has a couple of customization features. And for additional security, you get the Moto Secure app.

Battery

The 5,000mAh battery of the Moto G73 will last a full day on moderate usage. We got close to 7 hours of screen time and that is decent for a mid-range device.

Charging

Moto G73 supports 30W TurboPower fast charging. A full charge from 0-100% using this charger will take anywhere between 60-90 minutes.

Verdict

The Moto G73 faces tough competition from the Redmi Note 12. However, the Moto handset has better performance, clean and latest software and better speakers. Even its camera capabilities are commendable in daylight. Overall, the Moto G73 is a reasonable buy if you value these aspects more than anything else.
