The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 look exactly like its predecessors. The case has a matte black finish with a USB-C port for charging. The buds have a dual tone finish with metallic stems. In terms of weight, each bud weighs 5 grams and the case itself weighs 47 grams. Basically, the earbuds are easy to carry around.

The eartip options offer a snug fit. Moreover, there's an eartip fit test to ensure that you find the right size. The buds are IP55 certified and even the case has IPX4 rating. You need not worry about sweat or splash damage thanks to these ratings.

Snug fit for workouts

With OnePlus devices, the pairing process is simple. With other Android devices and iPhones, you will need to download the HeyMelody app to get the most out of these earbuds. While the buds will work just fine even without the app, you won't have access to most of the features.

Simple setup process

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 feature a squeeze mechanism to control the buds. While you can't control the volume through the buds, there are multiple single press, double press and triple press features available based on the ongoing activity.

Squeeze mechanism

The tuning of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is slightly V-shaped with bass and treble being stronger leading to a loss of mid frequencies at times. It has 5 EQ's out of which one has been tuned by the legendary Hans Zimmer. If you love bass, all you have to do is enable BassWave. There is no distortion even at higher volumes and you get LHDC and aptX audio codecs. support

V-shaped sound

The ANC is the best in the segment and even works better than some expensive TWS. There are three levels of ANC and you can even opt for the Smart mode which automatically changes levels based on the surroundings.

Smart ANC

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 offers clear audio while receiving calls and the person on the other end did not seem to have any problems. So much so that they could not tell the difference between the phone's speaker and the earbuds.

Clearer calls

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 support Spatial Audio that gives you the feeling of audio coming from around you. Once you activate head tracking, the audio source remains fixed at one spot. So, even if you move your head around, it'll feel like the audio is coming from the direction of the screen.

Flawless head tracking

With ANC enabled you can easily get 5-6 hours on a full charge and can recharge the buds 3 times using the case. If you disable ANC, you can get up to 8 hours on a single charge increasing the total capacity to 40 hours with the case. It also supports quick charging which provides a backup of 2-3 hours by just plugging them in for 10 minutes.

Decent battery life

At Rs 11,999, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 are priced very competitively. They offer good sound, excellent ANC and smart features that are very well executed, which makes them an excellent overall package. We can easily recommend them for calls, reliability and good for professions, but these are not for audiophiles.
