Samsung has just expanded its flagship Galaxy S25 lineup by adding a new member to the family. This comes in the form of the Galaxy S25 FE, a smartphone that aims to deliver the brand's signature flagship experience in a more digestible avatar.
The Galaxy S25 FE follows in the footsteps of its siblings by offering a clean aesthetic, which looks minimalist and elegant. Flat front and back, and flat edges that merge into smooth rounded corners give it a nice in-hand feel.
The placement of ports and controls is as expected. At the rear, the three camera lenses protrude out of the chassis in their own individual rings. Samsung branding is placed closer to the bottom. Weighing 190g and just 7.4mm thick, the S25 FE is quite slim and lighweight.
The performance is driven by the Exynos 2400 SoC, which comes with 8 gigs of RAM and up to 512GB storage. There's a 4,900mAh battery on board that supports 45W wired charging along with 25W wireless charging.
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display comes with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and 1900 nits brightness. It promises to deliver an immersive viewing experience, with its 385 ppi density (1,080 x 2,340 pixel resolution & 19.5:9 aspect ratio).
The primary camera sensor is 50MP, which features OIS. It is paired up with an 8MP telephoto that's also optically stabilised and offers 3X optical zoom. A 12MP ultra-wide with a 123-degree FoV completes the camera trio. The phone is capable of shooting 8K videos at 30 fps. At the front, a 12MP sensor handles selfie duties.
Durability is ensured by the IP68 certification the phone comes with. Also adding to the peace of mind is the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both the front as well as the back.
One UI 8 with Android 16 and up to 7 years of software support should ensure that the software experience delivered by the S25 FE is top-notch. Signature features like DeX, plus Samsung's famed security features including the new Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) are there too.
A 2025 Samsung flagship smartphone can't exist without its suit of AI features, and the Galaxy S25 FE doesn't disappoint. From Gemini Live to Circle to Search, Generative Edit to Audio Eraser, Now Bar to Call Assist, and the entire gamut of AI tools are all present and correct.
The Indian pricing for the Galaxy S25 FE isn't out yet, but it's expected to be a tad more affordable than the other S25 series siblings. That said, it does promise to deliver an uncompromised flagship experience. Stay tuned more more.
