“The new WhatsApp group calling feature allows users to quickly make calls with multiple the participants in a group

WhatsApp has started rolling out a group voice/ video calling button in groups with its Android beta update version 2.18.373. The feature allows users to make calls with multiple participants of a group with just a single tap. Apart from this, as reported by WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp update is also expected to support Multi Share feature and Sticker Search option.

To use the new group voice/ video calling feature, go to any WhatsApp group chat and select the call button placed on the banner beside the group’s name. This will give you the option to contact the members of the group (make sure the contacts are saved on your mobile) and with that, you’re good to go. It’s worth mentioning that you can only place a voice/ video call to a maximum of three members.

Moving on to the Multi-Share feature, it’s not live yet. The feature is reportedly in development and is expected to roll out in future. As stated by WABetaInfo, the Multi-Share feature will allow WhatsApp users to share a file with a “preview” to multiple contacts from third-party applications. This means you will be able to share a PDF document from Files app to more than two WhatsApp users simultaneously. It is also expected to support more functionalities such as support for the Multi-Share File feature and Multi-Share Audio feature.

Lastly, the Stickers that were recently added to WhatsApp are tipped to be getting “search” icon to make it more convenient for the users. The feature is not live now, we checked on our Android device, which is running WhatsApp version 2.18.376. However, it’s been reported that you can temporarily enable this feature without waiting for WhatsApp. To turn the Sticker Search option on tap on a received sticker, then View More, you’ll get the search tab. Notably, the steps didn’t work when we tried on our device.
