WhatsApp iOS update adds private reply in groups, stickers in photos and more

“An update for WhatsApp is now available on iOS devices and it includes several new features”

WhatsApp has released a new update for iOS users, which is now available for download. The update includes new features such as the ability to send a private reply in a group, adding stickers in photos, and more. If you are an iOS user, then we recommend that you update the app right away. WhatsApp 2.19.10 is the version number for the latest update on iOS. Beta users received this update a few days ago and it is now been seeded to public users.

The first new feature is the ability to reply privately in a Group. Users can tap on message in the group chat and choose the Reply Privately option in More. This will allow you to chat with anyone privately outside of the group chat by opening a new thread. This feature has been available on Android for a couple weeks now.

The second feature is that WhatsApp now allows users to add stickers in photos and videos. When sending a photo or video, you can tap on the emoticon button and select the add stickers option. From here, users can drag and drop the stickers on to the photos or videos. Prior to this, you could only add emojis, text, and drawings.

Finally, the update also brings the ability to preview a status by means of 3D touch. What this means is, that users can force tap on a contact’s status within the Status tab and preview it without actually opening the content. You will also be able to mute the status when using this feature. However, this option is only available on iPhones that support 3D Touch. You will not be able to use it on the new iPhone XR or iPhone 6 and older. Of course, you can still enjoy Haptic touch on these devices.

Let us know what you think of the new WhatsApp update on iOS and if the new features are useful to you.
