Xbox Series S is now available at a discounted price in Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale. Series S is an affordable current-gen console alternative to Xbox Series X and PS5. Microsoft had recently increased the price of Xbox Series S in India most likely due to weakening value of INR against USD. At the time of writing, Xbox Series S was priced at Rs 28,490 on Flipkart, down from Rs 36,990. It seems this price will go down further as a screenshot of one of the previous deals shows the console being sold at Rs 24,990. So, it’s best to grab it at this price if you are planning to buy Xbox Series S.

While Xbox Series S is not as powerful as the Series X, it has some shared features with Series X, including 120 FPS gameplay, ray-tracing, fast load times, quick resume, and more. The console comes with 512GB storage and 10GB of GDDR6 RAM. The Series S is powered with a GPU that delivers 4 TFLOPS processing power to offer 1440p resolution gameplay at 120 FPS. It also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on compatible TVs and monitors with HDMI 2.1 slot. While 512GB of storage might not be a lot for gaming, the console supports expandable SSD storage.

The discount on Xbox Series S comes as great news for Xbox players after the company increased its prices for the console as well as the Xbox Series wireless controller. Considering the very limited Xbox Series X stocks in India, Series S is a decent option for players who want to upgrade their console, and play games from Halo and Forza series. Sony has also raised the price of PS5 in certain markets, which fortunately does not include India. It remains to be seen whether the PS5 price increases in the future, considering the company is working on a revamped model.
