Xiaomi 12 specifications (expected)

Thanks to various leaks, we know a good deal about the Xiaomi 12. It is expected to get a new LTPO display that allows for an adaptive refresh rate based on the content on the screen. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset that will be manufactured using a 4nm process. It may pack up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage that may not be expandable further. It is likely to boot Android 12 OS out of the box with MIUI custom skin on top. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The flagship is rumoured to pack a triple camera setup, led by a 50MP main camera and will offer an ultra-large bottom solution that will allow shooting 1920fps slow-motion videos. The main sensor could be paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 5X optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There will be optical image stabilisation support. The recently leaked render image showed the Xiaomi 12 may have a ceramic body. It appears to have curved edges on the front and a centre-aligned punch-hole cut-out at the top. The camera array will be placed in the centre. The handset is expected to debut in the first half of 2022 but an exact timeline can’t be said for certain just yet.
