Xiaomi 12 Lite launched earlier this month globally as a successor to the Xiaomi 11 Lite. It is the brand’s premium mid-range offering and ships with Snapdragon 778G chipset. Now, tipster Paras Guglani claims the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will be discontinued/removed from official stores very soon. This is because the Xiaomi 12 Lite will be launched in India and it doesn’t make any sense to have the dated 4G model in stock. The Mi 11 Lite was well received and the key USP of the phone is its thin and lightweight profile.

While Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned the timeline for the Xiaomi 12 Lite but we can speculate it might debut in the next few weeks and should be priced aggressively. Furthermore, tipster Paras Guglani says the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE 5G will continue to be available even after the Xiaomi 12 announcement.

Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G Specifications

The Xiaomi 12 Lite sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, Dolby Vision, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The handset runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 custom skin out of the box.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite features an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance, a 4,300mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, Dolby Atmos, and usual speakers. Connectivity options on the Xiaomi 12 Lite include dual 4G VoLTE, dual 5G standby, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The phone weighs just 173 grams and measures 159.30 x 73.70 x 7.29 mm.
