Xiaomi is apparently readying the next batch of Xiaomi 12 series flagships, dubbed the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro. The former has appeared online multiple times, including on the China 3C certification. The brand hasn’t talked about the phone yet but we believe it should be made official sometime before the end of this year. While we wait for that, the Xiaomi 12S has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing the Android OS, RAM, model number and the chipset details.

The Xiaomi 12S has the model number 2206123SC, the C at the end could be linked to the China-only model. It has managed to score 1328 in the single-Core and 4234 in the multi-core test on the benchmarking round.

Xiaomi 12S appears on Geekbench

Xiaomi 12S with the model number 2206123SC and the listing shows it will come with Android 12 OS, which should be skinned with MIUI custom skin out of the box. The phone is said to be powered by an octa-core chipset with four cores clocked at 2.02 GHz and three cores clocked at 2.75GHz. The chipset could be the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. It is said to pack 12GB RAM, but there could be other options at launch. That’s pretty it about the phone via the Geekbench listing.

The Xiaomi 12S has appeared on China’s 3C certification and this revealed it would arrive with 67W fast charging support, while the Pro model is said to arrive with a 120W fast charging support. The leaked live image of the Xiaomi 12S shows it has a similar camera layout as the Xiaomi 12 series. There is a triple camera setup on the back along with an LED flash. It can be seen in a Silver colour option but we believe there will be more options at launch. The Xiaomi 12S could ship with an AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate.
