Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro are expected to be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phones in the world. The phones could be announced following the Snapdragon Summit in October 2024. Well, you don’t have to wait till then as the alleged specifications and pricing of the Xiaomi 15 series have been tipped. This should give you a fair idea of what to expect when the two phones launch later this year.
Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro specifications (leaked)
As per tipster Zou Jiachen (translated) on Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro could have the following features:
- Display: The Xiaomi 15 could have a 6.36-inch 1.5K resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits brightness in High Brightness Mode.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro could have a bigger 6.73-inch panel with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits in High Brightness Mode.
Both displays could come protected by Dragon Crystal protection and feature an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. - Processor: As we already know the two phones will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The Xiaomi 14 series debuted with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
- Memory: Both phones could carry up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
- Battery: The vanilla model could bear a 4,800 to 4,900maAh cell while the Pro could pack a larger 5,400mAh battery.
The charging capability could be 100W (wired) and 50W (wireless) on the regular model and 120W (wired) and 80W (wireless) on the pricier model. - Cameras: On the rear side, both Xiaomi 15 models could sport three 50MP cameras and on the front, a 32MP sensor.
- Miscellaneous: Among other things, both phones will bring Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, dual speakers, IP68 dust and water resistance, and infrared remote control.
The Pro model could also be equipped with a faster USB standard (10Gbps bandwidth).
Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro prices in China (expected)
The Xiaomi 15 could start at CNY 4,599 (about Rs 52,783.80) for the 12+256GB model while its 16GB+1TB variant could set you back by CNY 5,499 (about Rs 63,113.31).
The Pro model, on the other hand, could come at a starting price ranging between CNY 5,299 (about Rs 60,817.86) and CNY 5,499 (about Rs 63,113.31) for the 12+256GB variant. The upper-end 16GB+1TB variant could cost between CNY 6,299 (about Rs 72,295.09) and CNY 6,499 (about Rs 74,590.54). There could be a Satellite Communication Edition with a price tag of CNY 6,999 (about Rs 80,329.16).
For reference, the Xiaomi 14 series launched in China at CNY 3,999 (Rs 45,500 approx) for the 8+256GB model. Its 12+256GB model carried a price tag of CNY 4,299 (Rs 48,900 approx).
Xiaomi 15 Ultra IMEI listing
Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra are expected to launch globally while the Xiaomi 15 Pro could be exclusive to China.
Gizmochina has discovered the Xiaomi 15 Ultra listing on the IMEI registry with model numbers 25010PN30C, 25010PN30G, and 25010PN30I. The one ending with ‘C’ could be destined for China, the ‘G’ one for global markets and ‘I’ for India.
The 2501 represents January 2025 but the phone could launch globally in February 2025 at MWC 2025 stage.
