“The certified Xiaomi phone with model number M1908F1XE could be the second smartphone from the brand with 5G connectivity”
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new 5G phone, TENAA listing suggests. A new mysterious smartphone from the brand with support for 5G connectivity has surfaced on the Chinese certification authority. This could be the second smartphone from Xiaomi with next-gen cellular connectivity, following Mi MIX 3 5G that was introduced earlier this year. While the identity of the Xiaomi phone remains unknown, it’s believed to be either next-gen Mi MIX 4 smartphone or a variant of Mi MIX 3 smartphone, perhaps the Mi MIX 3S. Apparently, the M1908F1XE model number of the handset appears similar to the last year’s Mi MIX 2S smartphone that had M1803D5XE model number.
Unfortunately, the TENAA listing reveals no other details of the handset. The Mi MIX 4, meanwhile, has been the subject of rumour mill for quite some time now. The handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, an impressive screen-to-body ratio, and a whopping 100W fast-charging support; the reverse wireless charging has been teased to be faster than 20W. In optics, the Mi MIX 4 is rumoured to be equipped with triple rear cameras, with a 64MP primary sensor that is better than Samsung’s GW1 64MP sensor. It is also said to feature periscope lens camera technology, which can produce lossless images of subjects placed at a distance.
Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun previously said that the handset will have a ‘Super Art Business Flagship.’ This could mean that the Mi MIX 4 an innovative design like a slider design seen on its predecessor Mi MIX 3 smartphone. In addition to this, it could also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and NFC. That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment.
