“The Amazfit BIP and Stratos smartwatches offer multi-sports tracking and Bluetooth connectivity”
It looks like Xiaomi-backed Huami is all set to launch its Amazfit-branded BIP and Stratos smartwatches in the Indian market. Amazfit India’s newly-created Twitter account is now live. The first tweet from the company says that its wearable line up will be released in the country at an event on July 24th.
For those unaware, the Amazfit BIP sports a 1.28-inch Always-on reflective touch-enabled display with glance view, which shows time, date, steps, weather, sports stats and more. The device lets you receive notifications for calls, messages, emails and other apps on the screen. The accessory offers multi-sport tracking – tracking your running, cycling and more with mapped routes, and more. There’s also an optical heart rate sensor on board. The wearable gets IP68 certification, GPS, and is fuelled by a 190mAh battery that delivers up to 45 days of claimed battery life.
As for the Amazfit Stratos, the device offers a 1.34-inch circular always-on LCD display. The wearable offers VO2max fitness level analysis and 5 ATM water-resistance rating (164 feet / 50metres). This one is fuelled by a bigger 290mAh battery, which delivers up to five days of battery life in regular mode, and 35 hours of life in GPS mode. The accessory’s fitness tracking and notification features are similar to the Amazfit BIP.
The Amazfit BIP and Stratos are compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The BIP smartwatch costs $99 (~Rs 6,800), while the Stratos sets you back by $199.99 (~Rs 13,500). We should have more details regarding their Indian availability and pricing in a couple of days, so stay tuned.
