Xiaomi’s Amazfit BIP and Stratos smartwatches launched in India, prices start at Rs 5,499

As teased earlier, Xiaomi-backed Huami has launched its Amazfit-branded BIP and Stratos smartwatches in the Indian market. The company’s debut devices in the country flaunt multi-sport fitness tracking and come with rugged designs. Both smartwatches are equipped with heart-rate sensors and built-in GPS, and let you receive notifications for calls, messages, emails, and other apps on their always-on displays from your connected smartphones.


Talking about the Amazfit BIP first, the wearable features a 1.28-inch always-on reflective touch-enabled screen with glass view function and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. This feature shows time, data, steps taken, weather details, sports stats and more on the display. The IP68 certified smartwatch boasts water and dust protection. The wearable is equipped with an optical heart rate sensor and a 190mAh battery, which is capable of providing up to 45 days of claimed battery life.

Amazfit Stratos FB

As for the Amazfit Stratos, the smartwatch gets a 1.34-inch circular always-on LCD screen. The wearable flaunts VO2max fitness level analysis and an optical heart rate sensor. The accessory boasts a more premium design with a ceramic bezel, stainless steel buttons, a glass fibre reinforced polycarbonate build, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top of the screen. This one sports 5 ATM water-resistance rating (164 feet / 50 metres) and is fuelled by a bigger 290mAh battery, which delivers up to 35 days of battery life. The device’s most of the notifications and fitness tracking features are similar to the Amazfit BIP.The Bluetooth-enabled Amazfit BIP and Stratos smartwatches are compatible with both Android and iOS devices, and are being offered exclusively on Flipkart. The Amazfit BIP has been priced affordable at Rs 5,499, and will be available in Onyx Black, Cinnabar Red, White Cloud, and Kokoda Green hues. As for the Amazfirt Stratos, the wearable costs Rs 15,999, and comes in a single Black.
