“Xiaomi will be taking the wraps off the five new products over five weeks, including the Redmi K20 series smartphones”
Xiaomi will be half-a-decade old in India next month. The OEM hailing from China kicked off operations in the country in July 2014, with its Mi 3 smartphone. It’ll be completing five years soon and to celebrate the feat Xiaomi will be launching five new products in India. Xiaomi’s India head Manu Kumar Jain posted a video on Twitter, which says the company will have five product-related announcements each week along with offers and discounts for its fans. Notably, the vendor’s Redmi K20 series smartphones are already slated to launch in India in the next few weeks.

While the company hasn’t stated which all devices it’ll be launching, there have been teasers of a new trimmer, which will be launching tomorrow, in the market. The much-awaited Redmi K20 series, meanwhile, is confirmed to launch in mid-July. It’ll include Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro that were launched in China last month. The latter comes with flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset, pop-up selfie camera, and triple rear cameras, while the regular Redmi K20 features Snapdragon 730 chipset. Xiaomi is pitching its Redmi K20 Pro smartphone against the OnePlus 7 Pro that recently launched at a starting price of Rs 48,999. It’s not official yet, but rumours are that the K20 Pro could be priced around Rs 30,000.
Xiaomi may also launch its latest Mi Band 4 wearable in the market and refresh its Mi TV space as well as its lifestyle category, which includes air purifiers, bags, suitcases, etc. Stay tuned for more updates!
