Xiaomi J18s and K8 flagship phones are reportedly in the works and are expected to launch as the brand’s first devices with an in-display selfie camera. Now, noted tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed key Xiaomi J18s specifications. While Mi MIX Fold is Xiaomi’s first foldable phone, J18s is said to be the second foldable phone and will have a 90Hz refresh rate. To recall, the Mi MIX Fold has a 90Hz outer display, the inner panel gets only a 60Hz refresh rate. We may likely see a 90Hz inner display this time around. The tipster has also shared camera details of the foldable — it is said to get a 108MP primary camera, a liquid lens with 3x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide sensor.

As we mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi J18s will reportedly have an in-display selfie camera. To recall, Xiaomi had showcased the third-generation in-display camera technology back in August last year. The technology is claimed to see through the gaps in its sub-pixels and the display area above the camera can produce the same pixel density as the rest of the display. This means the screen should be able to perfectly hide the under-screen camera. The selfie snapper is said to offer similar results as a conventional front-facing camera. There’s a chance we might see this tech in action on the upcoming Xiaomi J18s in the near future.
