So, without any further ado, let’s take a look at Mi 11 series price, specifications, and everything else we know so far.
Mi 11 launch date, time
Mi 11 launch event is scheduled for December 28th in China and is expected to go on per-orders on the same date. The phone is expected to go on sale in early January 2021. The handset will be unveiled at 07:30 PM local time, which translates to 05:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). Mi 11 Pro may also tag along, but there’s no confirmation on that so far.
Mi 11 design
Mi 11 design from the back will be slightly different from its predecessor, the Mi 10. The smartphone will pack a square-shaped camera module that will house triple cameras and an LED flash. The fascia of the phone is expected to flaunt the same punch-hole display with curved edges. The handset is expected to come in Smoke Purple, Cigarette Purple, and White colour options. There is no word on Mi 11 Pro’s design yet.
Mi 11 specifications (rumoured)
Snapdragon 888 SoC will be the major highlight of the Mi 11, but other than that the handset is rumoured to come with a high refresh rate screen, impressive cameras, and a beefy battery with super fast charging solution.
Starting with the Mi 11 specifications, the handset is rumoured to pack a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is also expected to ship with a dedicated MEMC chip that can, among other things, upscale SD content to HD quality. The phone will most likely run Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box. In optics, the Mi 11 could sport triple rear cameras comprising a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM3 Bright primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro camera.
Mi 11 Pro, on the other hand, is tipped to come with a whopping 192MP sensor with pixel binning technology and a 12MP telephoto lens. Note that the Snapdragon 888 chipset can only handle up to 200MP single rear camera. The handset is also said to have MEMC video frame technology, real-time SDR to HDR, and video super-resolution support.
Xiaomi recently confirmed that its upcoming Mi-branded phones will support computational photography, which is an image capture and processing technique to further enhance the results. It also teased a few details about the new phones, such as Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, improved LPDDR5 RAM support, and improved low-light videos. That’s all we know so far!
