“The Xiaomi 5X will be a mid-rung offering with a Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch HD display”
Earlier this week, a poster of the upcoming Xiaomi 5X hit the interwebs, which revealed a few details about the device. Today, the company has officially confirmed that it will be unveiling the Xiaomi 5X in its home market of China on July 26th alongside the brand’s latest custom skin – MIUI 9.
The teaser posted by the brand on Weibo depicts the popular Chinese actor Kris Wu holding the Xiaomi 5X. In line with the earlier reports, the phone has a dual camera setup at the rear with a dual-LED flash module, and a fingerprint sensor underneath. The device will boot MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
As per the earlier leak, the Xiaomi 5X will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM. The phone is expected to be priced at Rs RMB 1,999 (~Rs 19,000). We will have more details next week, so stay tuned for regular updates.
