“The Mi 5X will be a premium offering that will cost around Rs 19,000”
Xiaomi recently announced that it would be introducing its latest smartphone, the Mi 5X, at an event in China on July 26th. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has released official images of the device on its website. The images have revealed key details regarding the phone’s design and its colour variants.
The Mi 5X will be available three hues – black, gold and rose gold. The phone will flaunt an all-metal unibody design with its antenna bands placed on the top and bottom edges of the back panel. The device will get a dual camera setup and fingerprint sensor at the rear.
The company’s website also reveals that over 2,10,000 people have registered for the Xiaomi Mi 5X. Reports suggest that the phone will be priced at RMB 1,999 (~Rs 19,000). The brand aims to compete against OPPO and Vivo in the offline market space with the Mi 5X.
