“The 8th-anniversary edition Xiaomi Mi 8 is set to launch at the 2018 Annual Product Launch event on May 31st”
Xiaomi is all set to launch the Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi Band 3 and possibly a few more devices at its 2018 Annual Product Launch Event to be held in Shenzhen on May 31st. Ahead of the launch, the special 8th-anniversary edition of the Xiaomi Mi 8 has already been leaked quite often. Now, just a day before the event, an alleged hands-on image of the Xiaomi Mi 8 have been spotted on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo.
In the leaked image, the Mi 8 can be seen with a plastic protective layer on top of the display, which lists some of the key specs. It confirms the fact that the upcoming flagship will indeed come powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with dedicated AI Engine. The front camera of the handset seems to be a 20-megapixel shooter with features like AI zoom and facial recognition. An interesting revelation comes in the form of the third point, which indicates that the Xiaomi Mi 8 will come with dual GPS for determining exact position. In the hands-on shot, we can also see the wide display notch on the top, however, the 3D face recognition module is not clearly visible.
We will bring you the complete spec sheet and other details of the Xiaomi Mi 8 tomorrow when the smartphone goes official. So stay tuned for more updates.
