Xiaomi has launched a new Mi Air Purifier model that can eliminate more than 10 common indoor pollutants and cover an area of 105 square metres. This new Mi Air Purifier is designed for areas with large spaces and has low power consumption, the company claims. The Chinese brand also says the new air purifier maintains extremely low noise levels and, thus, can be used in any room in the house.

The new Mi Air Purifier has been launched at the event Xiaomi is hosting in Beijing. This product has three independent filtration layers to remove allergens, PM 2.5 particulate matter, carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, dust, etc to clean the air indoors. It can filter as much as 300 cubic metres of air per hour. Xiaomi claims this air purifier consumes electricity worth only RMB 0.5 (~Rs 5.28) over a period of 24 hours, so it can be used throughout the year without concerns about the electricity bill. While operating, it generates noise levels of just 20.4dB and can be installed on the wall as well.

There is a touchscreen panel and can be operated using the on-screen controls or the Mi app. It also comes with the Chinese company’s Xiao AI voice assistant onboard. The brand is providing free installation for the new air purifier. As for the price of the new Mi Air Purifier, buyers will have to shell out RMB 2,499 (~Rs 26,500) for the product. However, the Mi Mall crowdfunding price, according to the company, is RMB 1,999 (~Rs 20,000).
