“The Mi CC9 is confirmed to feature a triple camera setup a the rear”
If you haven’t been living under a rock lately then you might be aware that Xiaomi is all set to launch its new Mi CC series smartphones at an event in China on July 2nd. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has already revealed a few details about the upcoming Mi CC9 handset. Most recently, the brand announced that the phone will come with a 32MP selfie snapper and a 48MP triple rear camera setup. Now, the phone maker has released a couple of official images of the Mi CC9. In addition, the alleged retail box of the smartphone has also been leaked.
Talking about the press renders first, Xiaomi’s product manager Lao Wei has shared photos of the white coloured variant of the Mi CC9. The images confirm that the phone will arrive with a triple primary camera setup at the rear, which will be placed vertically at the top left corner. The handset appears to have a glass back panel and a metal frame.
On the top edge, you will find what appears to be an IR blaster, a microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone socket. The phone’s power button and volume rocker will be placed at the right, while the bottom will have the Type-C port and speaker grilles. Wei has also asked fans to choose a suitable name for the device from options including Dream White, White Dream Mirror, and White Lovers.
As for the leaked images of the retail box, it seems to be more colourful than Xiaomi’s usual box design. The keywords “Chic” and “Cool” seems to be behind the CC series’ naming scheme. Unfortunately, the retail box hasn’t revealed anything about the specs of the handset that we don’t know.
If the reports are to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 will be available in China at the starting price of around Rs 26,000 for the base variant. We will have official details in a matter of a week, so stay tuned to 91mobiles for regular updates.
