Xiaomi’s first ebook reader, the Mi Reader, was announced last year but was limited to the Chinese market. However, the company might be planning a global release soon with the name Mi eBook Reader as it was just spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification. The certification site only reveals the name of the device and confirms that it will come with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Considering that Xiaomi has been expanding its product ecosystem globally over the years, this doesn’t come as a surprise. Can it take on popular Amazon Kindle models? We’ll just have to wait and see.
