“The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is said to be the first smartphone to come with the massive 10GB of RAM”
Xiaomi recently shared a new teaser of its upcoming flagship smartphone the Mi Mix 3, revealing several key features. These included the support for 5G network and first of its kind – 10GB of RAM. Now the phone maker has gone ahead and shared yet another video of the smartphone showcasing the sliding mechanism. The latest video also reaffirms the October 25th launch of the smartphone.
In the video, we can see upcoming Mi Mix 3 flagship in several persons’ hands, who slide the display down to reveal the selfie camera and sensor array. As shown in previous teasers and leaks, the smartphone seems to have next to no bezels on all four sides of the display, which results in an unheard of screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, it shows that the screen wakes up whenever the screen is downwards, but does not open the camera app automatically.
At one point in the video, the camera pans in on the sliding mechanism, revealing a few more details. The front camera on the upcoming smartphone is revealed to be a dual camera module with the primary camera being a 24MP sensor. Further, the mechanism houses an extra sensor, which is likely to be an IR sensor for face unlock and the earpiece. However, nothing else can be made out from the new video.
As of now, information about Mi Mix 3 is pretty scarce but previous leaks have given us some insight as to what to expect. According to the rumours, the phone is expected to flaunt the next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and up to 10GB RAM. Coming to the display, the Mi Mix 3 is tipped to ship with a 6.4-inch display with 2K resolution. The rear camera setup is expected to comprise of a 16-megapixel primary shooter backed by a 13-megapixel secondary camera. Unfortunately, nothing else is known.
The smartphone is slated to go official in Beijing, China next week and we will bring you more updates as it does. As of now, there is no word on the pricing and international availability of the phone.
