“The Mi Mix 3 is touted to come with a full-screen display and a slide-out mechanism feature”
Xiaomi has shared a new teaser of its upcoming flagship smartphone the Mi Mix 3 on Weibo – China’s microblogging website. It has further revealed the key features of the handset, which is scheduled to launch on October 25th. The image showcases two notebooks with 5G and 10G text on their covers, which could be the hint for top-speed connectivity and a whopping amount of system memory on the Mi Mix 3.
Xiaomi is yet to confirm the following, but it’s easy to decode from the text that the handset could come with 5G connectivity and 10GB of RAM. The scenario seems possible as Xiaomi’s alleged Mi Mix 3 was recently leaked testing 5G network. However, this would require the Qualcomm X50 modem, which is not slated to hit smartphones till next year. Moving on, the phone is already confirmed to pack some exciting features like the truly bezel-less edge-to-edge display and a slide-out camera mechanism.
Update: Xiaomi has since confirmed the 10GB RAM on Mi Mix 3 with a teaser poster in China.
Meanwhile, online publication MySmartPrice claims that the Mi Mix 3 will have a maximum of 8GB of RAM. However, there isn’t any mention of the 10GB RAM option of Xiaomi’s flagship offering whatsoever. As per the report, the vendor will offer the device in three configurations: 6GB + 64GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. Moreover, the phone will reportedly be available in three shades, Black, Green Emerald, and Sapphire Blue.
Rest of the details about the Mi Mix 3 are scarce right now, but what we do know is that it might be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and sport an in-display fingerprint sensor. Since the launch is now just around the corner, we don’t have to wait for long to know battery, camera, display, and other hardware specs of the Mi Mix 3.
