Mi Note 10 India launch teased by Xiaomi, brings 108MP penta-camera setup

“It’ll be the first smartphone with over a 100MP camera resolution in India”

Xiaomi has started teasing the Mi Note 10 launch in India. The company’s India head Manu Kumar Jain has teased that the 108MP camera phone will launch in India soon and this comes just days after 91mobiles exclusively reported that the Mi Note 10 will be introduced in India shortly. Xiaomi is yet to reveal the Mi note 10 launch date, but it should happen some time in December. The Mi Note 10 is the world’s first smartphone with 108MP Penta-rear camera setup. It uses Samsung’s 108MP HMX sensor that was co-developed by Xiaomi to offer “extremely high-resolution photographs.”

Mi Note 10 specifications

The USP of the Mi Note 10 is its cameras. The phone sports a vertically-aligned penta-camera setup that includes a 108MP primary sensor with 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.69 aperture, OIS, and 7P lens (8P in Pro), a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with 2x zoom, a 5MP telephoto lens that bears 10x hybrid zoom and optical image stabilisation, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens for close shots. Mi Note 10 front camera features a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calling.

Mi Note 10 is powered by a mid-range 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset. This is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is a Mi Note 10 Pro model as well, which rocks 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, its launch in India remains vague at the moment.

Mi Note 10 Pro
The Mi Note 10 packs as many as five cameras at the back panel.

The front fascia of the Mi Note 10 comes with a 6.47-inch Arc AMOLED full-HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, in-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer. The handset houses a 5,260mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.

Mi Note 10 expected price in India

Mi Note 10 was launched in Spain last month priced at EUR 549 (around Rs 43,200). The Mi Note 10 Pro 8GB + 256GB model has a price tag of EUR 649 (around Rs 51,000). These European prices are steep for a mid-range phone, but you can expect the Mi Note 10 price in India to be a lot more competitive. The phone will likely take on the Realme X2 Pro in India, so we could see a price tag under Rs 30,000.
