Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 launch seems to be around the corner and it could mark the company’s return to the tablet market. With Apple iPads placed in various price segments, the Android tablet market has had a tough time competing, with only a few names making any serious dent. Now, Xiaomi is looking to make its presence felt with the Mi Pad 5. The tablet is said to have a codename K81C and a report from MyDrivers suggests it will offer fast-charging support and a higher screen refresh rate. Mi Pad 5 specifications have been tipped and the tablet is said to be available in two models, with differences in chipset and screen size.

Mi Pad 5 specifications (rumoured)
Mi Pad 5 base model will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC while the variant with a larger screen size will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and not Snapdragon 888 as reported earlier. Mi Pad 5 is said to pack an 11-inch Quad HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. It is said to be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and stylus support, allowing it to compete with Samsung, Huawei, and Apple tablets.
The Qualcomm variant is said to get an 8,000mAh battery and the tablet will feature an MIUI skin similar to the one seen on the Mi MIX Fold. It will offer multi-window support, a desktop interface with a start menu, and a taskbar from windows. That’s pretty much everything that is revealed about the Mi Pad 5 specifications at the moment but considering numerous leaks and reports, we can expect the launch could be inching close.
