Xiaomi Smarter Living 2022 event is scheduled for August 26th at 12pm IST and it appears that the company will be launching a handful of products, including Mi Notebook laptops, Mi Band 6, and others. Now, the company has confirmed it will be launching the Mi TV 5X on the stage. This will arrive as a successor to the Mi TV 4X that sold quite well for the company. There’s a dedicated microsite on the company’s website that reveals some key specifications. The Mi TV 5X will have a metal build with a full-screen narrow-bezel design, and Dolby audio for an immersive audio experience.

The Xiaomi TV is said to ship with a bright panel and the website says the “visuals are fine-tuned and responsive to your environment.” Xiaomi confirms that it will unveil a new generation of Mi Patchwall UI with curated content and a new ‘Must See’ section. The TV will have Google Assistant support, thanks to far-field microphones. While the specifications aren’t revealed, it is said to feature “future-ready specs to stand the test of time.” The Mi TV 5X should be available in a 55-inch model, but we can speculate there could be other options at launch.

Besides the Mi TV 5X, the company will launch the Mi Notebook laptops and Mi Band 6 as well at the event. The upcoming laptops are confirmed to come with a backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor for security, and the latest Intel Core processor. They are claimed to come with an ultra-smooth refresh rate, a standard 16:10 aspect ratio, a Thunderbolt port, a 100 percent sRGB wide colour gamut and 6.7 million pixels. Speculations are rife the laptops will be Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra 15. The pricing is expected to be on the costlier side considering what it brings to the table.
