
Xiaomi’s next flagship tablet is set to launch in China in September, with the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max becoming the company’s first tablet powered by its in-house Xring O3 chipset. A new Geekbench listing has now revealed some of the tablet’s key hardware and early performance figures. Since this is a pre-launch benchmark, the configuration and performance may differ from the final retail model.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max benchmarks
A Xiaomi device with the model number M367FC has appeared on Geekbench 6.7.1. Tipster Anvin on X claims this model number belongs to the Pad 9 Pro Max. The listing shows the Xring O3 with a 10-core CPU, consisting of two cores clocked at 4.36GHz, four at 3.69GHz and four at 3.15GHz. It is paired with a Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC16 GPU.
The tablet scored 3,541 points in the single-core test and 14,153 points in multi-core. For comparison, the Xring O1-powered Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro scored 2,666 and 8,566 points, respectively, in testing. That gives the newer tablet a 32.8 percent higher single-core score and a 65.3 percent higher multi-core score. The listing also suggests the tested unit had 16GB of RAM and ran Android 17.
The results also compare favourably with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5. That tablet scored 3,521 points in single-core and 10,744 points in multi-core testing. The alleged Pad 9 Pro Max was therefore only 0.6 percent ahead in single-core performance but 31.7 percent ahead in multi-core.
A recent leak also points to a 13.3-inch display, a battery larger than 10,000mAh and 120W wired charging. Xiaomi has confirmed the September launch but has yet to announce pricing or the full specifications.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro
The Pad 9 Pro is expected to sit below the Pro Max and could offer a different hardware combination. According to a recent Digital Chat Station leak, it may feature a 12.5-inch LCD panel with a 3.2K resolution and a peak 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3nm chipset with eight Oryon CPU cores and an Adreno 829 GPU. It could also have an 11,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging. That would give it a larger screen and battery than the current Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, which has an 11.2-inch 144Hz LCD, Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 9,200mAh battery while retaining 67W charging.
Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed the Pad 9 Pro yet, so these specifications remain unconfirmed. For buyers, the Pro Max looks more interesting for those wanting Xiaomi’s new Xring O3 chip, a larger display and faster charging, while the Pro could make more sense if its Snapdragon hardware and lower position in the lineup translate into a substantially lower price.
By putting the Xring O3 in its highest-end tablet, Xiaomi is using the device to establish its own silicon as a flagship alternative to Qualcomm’s chips. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Xring O3 will power the Xiaomi 18 Fold, giving the processor a role across both its premium tablet and foldable phone lineup. That strategy could make the Pad 9 Pro Max interesting for buyers who want maximum performance and are willing to be early adopters of Xiaomi’s in-house hardware. If Xiaomi keeps a significant price gap between the two models, the Pro could be the better choice for most buyers, particularly those who value a large high refresh rate display and battery life over having Xiaomi’s newest processor. The Pro Max, meanwhile, makes more sense for users who specifically want the biggest screen, fastest charging and the Xring O3’s performance.
