Xiaomi Redmi 4A expected to launch in India on March 20th

Xiaomi has sent out press invites for an event in India on March 20th, where the brand is expected to debut the Redmi 4A. The budget smartphone was launched in China last November.

PrintThe Redmi 4A features a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and 2GB of RAM. The handset comes with 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card. The Redmi 4A employs a pair of 13MP and 5MP sensors on the back and the front respectively. Fuelled by a 3,120mAh battery, the smartphone runs Android Marshmallow with a skin of MIUI v8 on top.

The Redmi 4A is expected to be the brand’s most affordable smartphone in India, given that it retails for RMB 499 in China, under Rs 5,000. The Xiaomi Redmi 4, which is the successor to the successful Redmi 3S Prime (review), is expected to be launched in India soon as well.
