Unknown Xiaomi phone spotted on TENAA, could be the Redmi 5

Earlier this month, the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2’s alleged specifications were leaked. Now it appears that the company is working on another Redmi series smartphone. Ahead of the unveiling, the alleged Xiaomi Redmi 5 has been spotted on the Chinese certification agency TENAA’s website, revealing its key specs and images.

As seen in the images, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will sport a premium metal unibody design. The phone will get capacitive buttons for navigation, and a fingerprint sensor, which will be located at its rear. TENAA’s listing suggests that the phone will sport a 5-inch display, dual-SIM slots and a beefy 4,000mAh battery.

There’s no word regarding the Redmi 5’s processor, cameras or memory. We expect the rumour mill to reveal more of its details in the coming weeks, so watch this space for more updates.
