“The Redmi Note 6 Pro to reportedly come with a price tag of Rs 13,999 for its base variant”
Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphones, the Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi Note 4, have been doing rounds on the interwebs for a while now. Both the handsets have been spotted on a couple of certification websites and leaks in the past, indicating their official launch anytime soon. Giving further weight to it, both Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi Note 4 have now been certified by Russian certification agency. In addition, the Redmi Note 6 Pro’s model number and name has been confirmed by Certified Telecommunication Equipment and Systems’ website.
Both the handsets are listed on the website with their respective model numbers. While the Redmi Note 6 Pro is identified with the model number M1806E7TG, the Mi Note 4 has the number M1807E8A. Unfortunately, the listing hasn’t revealed anything substantial about the smartphones, but it gives us a hint that Russia could be one of the markets where Xiaomi could launch these devices.
However, as per earlier leaks, the Redmi Note 6 Pro — a successor to the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro (review) — could rock either Snapdragon 660/ 670 SoC under its hood. It’s expected to come in at least two configurations: 3GB + 32GB, 4GB and 64GB. There are chances of a top-end model of the handset with 6GB + 128GB as well. The other details are scarce at the moment, but rumours are that the Redmi Note 6’s base variant could retail at Rs 13,999.
The Mi Note 4, on the other hand, is likely to get 10nm Snapdragon 710 SoC ticking at its core. Further, the rumours suggest that the upcoming handset will feature an Always-ON OLED display and boot Android 8.1 Oreo. Powering the handset could be 3,100mAh battery with a possible fast charge support.
Xiaomi hasn’t announced anything about the Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi Note 4 smartphones as of now. However, looking at the speed at which these two devices are popping at the interwebs, we expect their launch sooner than later.
