Xiaomi Redmi Pro to feature a deca-core processor and dual cameras, confirms CEO Lei Jun

Xiaomi is all set to unveil its latest Redmi series smartphone dubbed the Redmi Pro at an event in China on July 27th. Ahead of the launch, the company has been teasing features of the phone. Now the brand’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed on Weibo that the phone will be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor, and will sport dual cameras at the back.

Redmi Pro processor confirmed

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro will be the third smartphone after the MEIZU Pro 6 and LeEco Le 2 Pro to offer a Helio X25 processor. The company has already confirmed that the Redmi Pro will sport an OLED display, which will be a first for the brand. The phone will sport a brushed metal unibody design, and one of its variants will be available in gold.

As per the earlier leaks, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro will sport a large 5.5-inch full HD OLED display, and will run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI. The phone is expected to sport a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button.
