Smarter Living 2022: What to expect?
The Smarter Living 2022 event is Xiaomi’s biggest IoT event this year. You can expect plenty of new products announced today across various categories. We have already mentioned that the company plans to launch the Mi Band 6, Mi TV 5X series, new Mi Notebooks, Mi Router, Mi Security Camera, and Mi Shoes. Here’s what we know about each of these products so far.
The Mi Band 6 has already been launched in China, so we know everything about it, except for its India price. The fitness tracker features a 1.56-inch colour AMOLED display that is 50 percent larger than the 1.1-inch screen on the Mi Band 5. The Mi Band 6 supports 130 watch faces and users can also create custom faces via the companion app. Mi Band 6 comes with a SpO2 sensor and a 24-hour heart rate sensor. It can auto-detect 6 fitness modes, including indoor and outdoor running, indoor and outdoor cycling, and elliptical. The Mi Band 6 can last up to 14 days on a single charge and can extend the battery life up to 19 days with normal usage.

The Mi TV 5X series will succeed the popular Mi TV 4X lineup. Xiaomi has already revealed that the Mi TV 5X will come with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support. The upcoming smart TV will come equipped with 40W speakers and Xiaomi has tied up with IMDB, the world’s leading entertainment guide and database. Other features include far-field mics powered by Google Assistant, PatchWall UI, and metal design.

Xiaomi will also launch new Mi Notebook laptops that offer a 16:10 aspect ratio, 6.4 million pixels, a 100 percent sRGB colour gamut, and a high screen refresh rate. The new Xiaomi laptops are expected to come with 11th Gen Intel Core processors, a backlit keyboard, and a metal unibody design.
Rounding off the event will be the Mi Security Camera, Mi Router, and Mi Shoes. The smart security camera aims to deliver superior video clarity and dual-band Wi-Fi for smoother connectivity. The router also looks to deliver fast connectivity speeds while keeping cool. Lastly, the Mi Shoes promises to be light and flexible. The shoes come with a high elastic fit for comfort and are protected against odour-causing microbes and bacteria and they will be offered in a variety of colours.
