XOLO launches the gaming-focussed Play 8X-1200 with octa-core CPU for Rs 19,999

Earlier this month, the domestic smartphone maker XOLO introduced the Play 8X-1200 along with the A1000S  by listing it on its official website. Now the company has officially launched the gaming-centric Play 8X-1200 for Rs 19,999. The phone has been released with immediate availability across major brick and mortar retail stores across the country.

The main highlight of the XOLO Play 8X-1200 is the 2.0GHz true octa-core MediaTek MT6592T processor under the hood, paired with a Mali 450 GPU for an immersive gaming experience. The processor is further aided by 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage, but it doesn’t have a microSD card slot to expand the memory further. The display is a 5-inch screen with full HD resolution based on One Glass Solution technology, offering a whopping 441ppi pixel density.

The new smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Camera wise, it offers a 13MP PureCel rear shooter with dual LED flash and a 5MP front snapper with a BSI sensor. The connectivity features include dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS. The phone is fuelled by a 2,300mAh battery, which according to the vendor, offers up to 11.7 hours of talk time and up to 547 hours of standby time on 3G networks.

Earlier this month, the company launched the XOLO 8X-1000 (first impressions) with an all new HIVE user interface and an octa-core processor for Rs 13,999.
