“Android KitKat update brings restyled navigation bars, cloud printing, updated Dialer app and more”
In August, the domestic smartphone maker XOLO announced the Android 4.4 KitKat update for several of its smartphones. As promised, the brand has now rolled out the update for the XOLO Q1200, Q900S and A500 Club devices, though it’s in beta version for now. To get the update, you will need to visit the support pages for the respective devices on the company’s website, and manually load the update file on your phones. However, you can also wait for the final build, which will be released in the coming days over the air.
The latest OS update for these devices will bump the Android version to 4.4 KitKat, straightfrom Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The update comes with restyled status and navigation bars, and music album art support on the lockscreen. It has an updated Dialer application, which allows looking up contacts directly from the dial pad. After you upgrade, you will find a new user interface for the camera app, cloud printing support, emoji support for the keyboard, a new email app and other new features in your devices.
In related news, XOLO recently launched the Android KitKat powered, XOLO Q700S Plus in the country for Rs 8,499. The smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, paired with Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Q700S Plus came soon after the launch of the XOLO 8X-1100.
