“The Sony Xperia 1 is expected to be a loaded flagship offering with 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 52MP camera and 21:9 display”
Sony has booked a slot at the upcoming MWC 2019 on February 25th and is expected to launch a flurry of smartphones including its flagship Xperia XZ4. The company recently posted a teaser trailer for the upcoming flagship from its Twitter handle. Now, the popular tipster Evan Blass has given us the first look of the upcoming smartphone through a leaked render. The tipster also suggests that the smartphone will be launched as Xperia 1 and not XZ4.

The image shared by the tipster appears to be an official press render of the upcoming flagship and reveals several details. The smartphone is seen rocking the purple colour in the image, so we know that will be one of the options on the upcoming flagship. Further we also get a look at the fascia and the rear panel of the phone. The display on the phone seems to be rocking narrow bezels on the top and the bottom. However, the panel appears to be taller than usual confirming that the smartphone will indeed have 21:9 display. Rumours have suggested that the display will measure 6.4-inch and have QHD+ OLED panel.
Coming to the rear panel of the handset, we can see the triple camera module. The past rumours have suggested that the flagship will flaunt a 52-megapixel (f/1.6) unit accompanied by a 16-megapixel f/2.6 telephoto lens and a 0.3-megapixel f/1.4 ToF camera. As of now, there is no word on which sensor the company will be using for the primary camera. Further, the smartphone is rumoured to come with Android 9 Pie out of the box and backed by 4,000mAh battery.
We don’t have to wait for long to know more about the Sony Xperia 1 as the launch is just around the corner. 91mobiles will be on the floor at MWC, so stay tuned.
