“The fourth smartphone under the YU brand will be a Snapdeal exclusive, instead of Amazon”
Micromax-backed YU Televentures has just announced that it will be launching a new smartphone in the country on September 8th. The company has already started sending out media invites for it and the smartphone may be launched in an exclusive partnership with Snapdeal. All other YU devices have been exclusive to Amazon till now.
The invite says that the device will be the ‘Next Wonder’. It has a tagline that says, “When Future Meets Past – The Next Wonder Will Be Unveiled”. Rahul Sharma, YU’s CEO had a small conversation with Kunal Bahl, CEO of Snapdeal on Twitter, which pretty much means that the device will be made available on Snapdeal.
