YU YUPHORIA smart TVs with 40-inch, 50-inch displays launched in India

Micromax subsidiary YU Televentures is known for making smartphones, but the company has just entered the TV segment today with two new models. The company launched YU YUPHORIA Smart TV series with two models, featuring 40-inch and 50-inch Full-HD displays, Android TV OS and a host of features. Both the Yu Yuphoria Smart TVs are already on sale on Amazon.in where buyers can also exchange an old TV to get up to Rs 7,200 discount.

Speaking about the key features of the base YU YUPHORIA Smart TV, it has a 40-inch panel with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution with a screen refresh rate of 60Hz. Behind the scenes, the TV is powered by an unknown quad-core processor and a dual-core graphics processor. The exact Android version is also not mentioned but the company states that it comes with the Aptoide app store. In terms of connectivity and ports, you get three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and a VGA port. The TV, priced at Rs 18,490, also has 24W audio output and includes Wi-Fi support.

Alongside the 40-inch model, a 50-inch YU YUPHORIA Smart TV is also listed on Amazon India, with a price tag of Rs 27,990. Apart from the bigger display, the 50-inch smart TV bears the same specifications and features as its 40-inch sibling.

There’s an AirPlay feature to share content with Apple devices as well and an option to mirror your smartphone screen to the TV. Furthermore, with the help of Mobile High Definition Link (MHL), smartphones can be connected to the TV via a cable.
