A bit dissapointing

Well, I was impressed enough with the Flex 10. Enough that I actually went ahead and bought one.nnDay one, exciting. Figured I'd actually use it as my primary work machine. So purchased and installed Office. Purchased and installed Avira AV. Figured I'd update to Windows 8.1. All good till this point.nnRestarted the machine and there's no response from the keyboard. Okay, so the device has a touch-screen. Restart again. Whammo. The screen goes dead. No I/O systems at all. Just the system 'on' indicator light and a low hum from the machine (so the HDD's working).nnCalled up the 'seller', they throw their hands up (with a few emails to ensure all behinds are covered). Right, so called up Lenovo. They say, it's time to replace the motherboard (yes we know about planned obsolescence, but this is ridiculous). Will they change the machine? NO. So wait four days and call for an update. Am told the motherboard is unavailable and will take a 'minimum' of 20 days for Lenovo to figure out the status.nnDepressing. So I tweet them. No response.nnAs of now: Machine bought, doesn't work. Software bought, can't use. General state of mind - tragic waste.nnGuess it's one of those things where you're either lucky with something or not. My first 'tragedy' making an online purchase ever. Fingers crossed and awaiting redressal of some sort. nnHere's my Engadget review: http://www.engadget.com/products/lenovo/flex/10/reviews/11wk/

Please Do not buy!

Update: Finally Lenovo agreed to issue a refund for this item in Dec 2015 and in Jan 2016 they collected the laptop and refunded the amount.nnnI bought this product for rs 25400 from a a offline lenovo authorized seller in nov 2014, for the first few days It felt good to carry a portable and handy device. nnBut as I started using this I came to know that Celeron Dual Core is not even capable of playing music player without any lags.nnIn may 2015 the system goes dead and on calling customer care I came to know that the Motherboard needs to be replaced, so they replaced the motherboard in 10 days but now the speakers were not working properly. So they ordered the speaker again and after a month they replaced the speaker too. Changing the speaker did not solve the problem and they said we will replace the motherboard again. So they ordered it again. Now after a few days the speakers started working properly, I informed customer care that I don't want any replacement. So they canceled the plan of changing the motherboard. Now in sep 2015 I noticed that one of the speakers in not working anymore, so I called up customer care again and they said that we need to change the speaker again, so the engineer came with the speaker after a week and told me that the speaker got burned due to faulty motherboard and we need to replace the motherboard too and asked me to carry my laptop to the service center. My laptop was with them for few days and now they have issued DOA certificate and Lenovo is offering replacement for the device but they refuse to provide the refund. I really regret buying this piece of shit.

A good product in this range

Touch is really nice and it is a portable device. As it is Lenovo so you can expect a better battery life. A good and inexpensive core i5 laptop. The only thing which I didn’t like is its plastic body. ?

A handy and Light weight product

The laptop on its own is amazing and stylish. the 270 degree rotation is perfect for many situations when you want just the screen. The touch is responsive and fast. The only con that i could find is the slow and sluggy performance due to the small ram. Even if it is just used for typing or browsing the internet, the low RAM makes everything much slower. At this price range, there are faster computers that you can look for. However, if style and decent battery backup in a lightweight and compact product is what you are looking for, then this is the laptop for you.
